The Ronald McDonald House
Helping Families in Need
Why ADPi Loves the RMHC
Today, more than 300 Ronald McDonald Houses in 52 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility. In addition to donating money to this worthwhile cause, the Zeta Rho chapter cooks dinner twice a week for the families at the Nashville RMH. For more information about Ronald McDonald House Charities, please visit the RMHC website at www.rmhc.org.
During the 2014-2015 academic year, Alpha Delta Pi contributed $1,335,355.19 to charitable organizations, including $1,192,640.52 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) across the United States and Canada.
We are proud of our long-standing relationship with RMHC. Since our partnership began in 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has contributed more than $11.2 million to this worthwhile organization.
Vanderbilt's Got Talent began last year when we wanted to invovle more people in supporting our philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House. Acts from around campus auditioned for a spot to perform at the main event, where they would compete for a $500 cash prize. 12 events, from magic to bhangra to singing, performed and wowed the audience of Vanderbilt students. That night the event raised over $12,500 for the RMH.
Thank you to everyone who came to this year's Vanderbilt's Got Talent!
This year's winners preforming on stage. Their singing won over the audience. They received the most votes, making them the winners of Vanderbilt's Got Talent!
Bank of America Chicago Marathon
with Team RMHC
One thing some sisters have participated in is the Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Team RMHC. There are over 800 members on Team RMHC, and last year we raised over $1.2 million for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. It's great that they can combine their love of running and their passion for the RMH and give back in such a meaningful way!
